Link Farming

Link Farming is a general term used to describe any link building activity that involves "artificially" building links in mass.

The term link farm usually has a negative connotation associated to it. Link farming was originally used to describe the tactic of building large amounts of sites, whose only purpose was to build links to other sites.

It has also been used to describe many of the "Spammy" techniques used by Blackhat link builders. Such as Blog Link Spamming or Forum Link Spamming.
